While we don't directly offer firearms courses, several of our members are cetified firearms instructors.  Please email us and we can get you our current list of members who would be happy to assist anyone looking to get their MA LTC, learn basic firearm safety or just refresh your knowledge from a class taken long ago.

Conventional Pistol Matches

.22 Gallery Matches on Mon. & Tues for Cape and Twin League (Fall to Spring) and on Mon. only for Bullseye League (Summer).

Any number of shooters can participate in conventional pistol matches; the five highest scores make up the team's score. The 30-shot National Match Course is fired:

• Slow Fire: 10 shots in 10 minutes.
• Timed Fire: 5 shots in 20 seconds (repeated twice).
• Rapid Fire: 5 shots in 10 seconds (repeated twice).

Club meetings are held at the range on the second Thursday of every month except for summer months (July and August).  Meetings begin at 7:30 P.M. and we would appreciate it if each member could try to attend as often as possible.  Member input is appreciated, and the meetings are the best venue to address questions or issues regarding the club.

We are scheduling work parties for later this spring to replace backstop pads, clean around the range inside and out.

If you are able to attend send an email to info@acushnetrifleandpistol.com and put Work Party in the subject line.  A sign-up sheet is also available and posted at the club and you can designate your desire to work there as well.  Participation by as many members as possible as often as possible will do a great deal towards maintaining the condition and appearance of our clubhouse.  This will greatly enhance our current membership events and also make our club more appealing to new membership candidates.
